You are getting married. Congratulations. The exciting day is coming closer faster than you think. If you are in the midst of your wedding planning's and have yet to send out your wedding invitations you should not wait too long. When it comes to ensuring your wedding plans don't turn into a nightmare it is critical to send out the invitations as early as possible. Why? You want to make sure all relatives and friends of both sides have enough time in advance to plan for it and to make travel arrangements, too.
To be able to send out wedding invitations you need to have many other things already organized. You need to know the date of course as well as the location. You need to make sure that your preferred wedding chapel or church is available and reserved. You need to make sure that the wedding fits yourself as well as it works for your parents, too. It would be a big No No to leave them out of that discussion.
Once you have the details of the wedding date, place, etc, worked out, you really need to get the wedding invitations send out. If you plan for some very personalized wedding invitation cards, you need to consider that the more personalized they are, the more time is needed to get the wedding cards designed and printed. You would not believe how difficult this actually is and how much effort has to go into this. Keep in mind this should be a once in a life time event (even though statistics show that only one out of three weddings will last a life time) and you want it to be extremely special.
Work with your wedding planner on your wedding invitation cards. Your wedding planner often has great connections to designers who will create your card designs. Special card designs (I mean those very personalized and unique invitation cards) will carry the extra cost for the design + the price per card is higher than the "cheap ones" you get from a store. You can easily expect the design price to linger somewhere between $150 and $500 dollars and a final price per card to be at around $5 - $25. Do not go overboard if you are on a budget. Your wedding should not put you under (financial) water for the rest of your life. Too many couples load up with debt for their weddings, it is irresponsible. A wedding should not match the Beverly Hills lifestyle if you live in Detroit.
So, by now you can tell that it is pretty important to much a lot of thought into your wedding invitation cards. At first it seems to be a small and less important item to look at for your wedding, but in the end it can make or break a successful wedding. Don't be one of those couples that at the end will have a horrible wedding because of doing a lousy job with their wedding invitations.
