Pocket-fold wedding invitations are very popular at the moment. They are a little different from the standard folded wedding invitations and that is the reason for their popularity. They allow you to add extra information which you wouldn't normally be able to include inside a standard invitation. But what information should be contained inside them? Here is a list of things that you might want to send your guests.
- R.S.V.P or Reply Card - A card allowing your guests to reply to your invitation. Sending a reply card encourages your guests to respond. A little tip, number your reply cards on the back in one of the top corners. Keep a list of which numbers correspond to which guests. This way if any of your guests forget to write their name in the card, or their handwriting is illegible, you'll know who the R.S.V.P. is from.
- Gift List - A gift list card can list the presents that you would like from your guests. Or it could refer them to a website which contains your list. Alternatively if requesting money you can write a poem to kindly ask for cash gifts.
- Direction Card - This is great for your out of town guests which might not know the area. You could draw a map or list directions to the church or venue. Remember to add the venue's postcode to the card. This will make it easier for your guests who are using a Sat Nav system to find their way.
- Accommodation Card - Include information on nearby hotels and bed and breakfasts. Many of your guests might want to spend the night in the area rather than driving home. Include telephone numbers of hotels and their room pricing.
Above are the advantages to pocket-fold invites. They have the flexibility to contain as much information as is necessary. You can add whatever you like, not just what I have listed here.
If you forget to include anything it is easy to insert an extra card inside the pocket. Your not required to reprint the entire wedding invitation just because a mistake was made.
