Where Are You Spending Your Honeymoon?

When you begin to think about your honeymoon you soon see that there are many wonderful places in the world to consider for your honeymoon. If you wish to take in the sun then choices include South Africa, Egypt, Morocco and of course the Caribbean. All of these places are simply stunning backdrops for you to spend your honeymoon and are places that you will remember with wonderful memories for some time to come. You may even be thinking of combining your wedding and honeymoon and having the ceremony on the beach next to the crystal clear waters of the ocean. However if you are having your wedding overseas, wedding insurance abroad is certainly something you should be thinking about.

While things can go wrong when you get married in the UK, there are some things that could turn your wedding day into a disaster that would not happen in the UK when you get married abroad. These include extreme weather such as typhoons, cyclones, tsunami, and hurricanes. Any of these could keep you grounded in the UK so your wedding is unable to take place or you cannot fly to your honeymoon destination.

One of the most popular places in the world for taking honeymoons is the Caribbean. With many places in the Caribbean to choose from you are spoilt for choice. What memories you will have of your wedding on the beach as the sun is setting. On the other hand if the weather turns for the worst your wedding day could be ruined if you have to cancel it. The clean up after high winds or a full blown hurricane could mean your wedding has to be postponed to another time. This of course means that you and your guests have paid out money for nothing and have to do it all over again at some point in the future. The same could happen if you have booked a honeymoon and this has to be cancelled. You could end up spending your honeymoon in Blackpool instead of on a white sandy beach surrounded by blue water and sky. While wedding insurance is another outlay that you might well do without, it could save you many thousands of pounds if the worst case scenario should occur.

If you take out wedding insurance for overseas weddings you may be able to recoup some of the costs if not all and re-plan your wedding at no extra cost to you. Without it you could lose a great deal of money by way of deposits and have to stand to this yourself. Insurance does not have to cost you a fortune if you take some time to shop around and compare the cost and benefits. However make sure that you do take out insurance that will cover your wedding or honeymoon abroad.
