Life is all about celebrations! I can think of many reasons to celebrate, and if I cannot think of one, I will make one up. After all, do you really need a reason to spend quality fun time with your girlfriends? Well, in case you cannot think of any worthwhile reasons, here are some occasions you can celebrate with a lingerie party, as well as tips on how to implement them.

• Bridal shower - Lingerie bridal showers have become one of the most popular types of showers to throw for a bride-to-be.

• Birthday - nothing makes turning 40 easier than re-establishing your sexiness.

• Job promotion - more money means more clothes, which means you need new lingerie to wear under it.

• Relationship lasting longer than normal for a girlfriend - better celebrate this one quickly as you don't often know if the relationship will still be on by the time you plan and throw the party!

• She finally dumped him - every girl deserves sexy lingerie as a treat for finally realizing she is way too good for an unworthy guy.

• A girlfriend has just been dumped - nothing gets a girl ready to move on then an increase in her self confidence. Sexy undergarments can add a spark that will help her overcome her sorrow and move forward.

• Great life accomplishment - every woman deserves to feel sexy when she does something great...no matter how big or small the accomplishment.

• Holiday party - this one does not even need a guest of honor. It can be a lingerie party for everyone to enjoy and stock up on intimate apparel.

There are many registries for lingerie on-line and in various stores. This is often a good idea as it allows the guest of honor to set the style she prefers. It also ensures she gets the correct size to prevent the hassle of many returns.

If she is registered you can inform the guest in the invitation and they can go purchase from the registry in the store. You can also purchase from the registry and have it sent to the host and then set up a display at the lingerie party of the items the guest of honor has selected. For this, you might want to inform the guests on the invitation that selections from the registry will be available for purchase at the lingerie party. Invite the guests early and begin with hors d oeuvres and social mingling as they make their selection. Either you can provide gift bags or they can be encouraged to bring their own. If you plan to do the latter, insure that the store has a good return policy so you can send back any items not purchased by guests. The great thing about doing it this way is that after the party, the guest of honor can exchange items she received for items she did not receive but might rather have.

This can work out as an added benefit for all the guests.
