Make Your Wedding Invitations - Wedding Reception Cards Wording

Your wedding date is getting close. You have the time, date, and place all lined up. Now to invite your guests. If you want to make your wedding invitations you will need the wedding reception cards wording.

You can find wording for your invitations, your RSVP cards but what about the wedding reception cards wording.

If you are having your reception in the same location as your wedding your can use corner copy on your invitations. However if the reception is in a different location you will want to have a separate card with the information. This is true especially for a formal wedding.

Wedding reception cards wording will give the type of reception, the time and place. Your reception cards are usually the same size as your RSVP cards. You do not need an envelope for the cards. These will be kept for reference as the guests make plans to attend.

Here are some wedding reception cards wording.

  1. Dinner Reception to be held following ceremony: at Moose Lodge: 123 Main Street - (If the address is the same city as the wedding you do not need to list the city here.)

  2. Reception Buffet Dinner and Dance immediately following ceremony: American Legion: 234 Main Street

  3. Adult Reception - Seven O'clock in the evening - Marriott Ball Room - 456 Main Street, Highlands, Ohio

  4. Luncheon Reception: immediately following the ceremony: The Holiday Inn: 678 Oak Street

  5. Cocktails served at five o'clock: Dinner served at six o'clock: Dancing eight until midnight: Knights Inn Ball Room, 100 Fairview Street, Greenville, Maine

Help us celebrate: join us for a reception: immediately following the ceremony: Holiday Inn West

As you can see the wedding reception cards wording will vary depending on your situation. Many receptions will have a buffet and time will be listed. Your RSVP cards will have the dinner choices if you have them.

You can also state that it is an adult reception. Many times the wedding reception cards wording will give times for dinner, dance, etc. If you are having a cash bar you may want to list it as such. Sometimes weddings will have an hour that the family will pick up the tab and the rest will be a cash bar. You should decide this well in advance.

If you are doing corner copy this will be in the left corner of your invitation. You usually use the same font and size as your invitations. Many of today's couples are using corner copy for almost all informal receptions.

I hope this helps with getting the proper wedding reception cards wording.
