Your wedding invitations should reflect your own personal and unique style. You might choose a theme for your wedding or maybe a certain colour combination. Whatever you choose as your inspiration keep that theme in mind when choosing your invitations.
There is a wide variety of stationery styles available to choose from to suit all tastes and budgets. First think about the style and shape of card you want; square, pocket-fold, wallet style, rectangle, laser-cut, etc. Then consider your theme. For example if you are having a beach theme, look at invites that use sea-shells as decorations, beach photos or palm trees.
Some wedding invitations are available in a choice of colours. You may even be able to change the colours to exactly match your theme. If you can't find something suitable you might want to choose bespoke wedding stationery.
You can usually personalise the wording and font. A range of fonts from fancy script fonts to simple sans-serif fonts are normally available. You might also be able to choose the ink colour. Some wedding stationers can also provide raised ink or metallic ink colours such as Gold and Silver.
Remember, your wedding invitations give your guests the first glimpse of your wedding day theme. If you are having a more traditional ceremony then choose traditional wedding invitations that consist of plain sheets of cream or white card with black text. If you are having a more modern and relaxed wedding then choose a design that is more colourful and informal. Or maybe have a bit of fun and choose caricature or photographic invitations.
Whatever you choose make sure your invites reflect your personality and your wedding theme.
